In case you didn’t know…

Rumour has it that Finn Balor could make his return at WrestleMania 33. He is expected to interfere in the Triple H vs. Seth Rollins match at the pay-per-view and spark off a feud with Triple H for the post-WrestleMania period.

Balor made his in-ring return during a WWE Live Event back in March, where he teamed up with Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn to go up against Triple H, Kevin Owens, and Samoa Joe. However, Balor has been kept away from television programming and has no match booked for him on the WrestleMania card.

The heart of the matter

Balor made it clear that his television return is delayed by WWE on creative grounds. The former WWE Universal champion has been cleared by the doctors and according to him, he is 100% ready for a comeback.

The Demon King also took some time to take a mild shot at Triple H when he indicated that the Game might be the man delaying his TV return.

What’s next?

Balor’s television return is bound to happen sooner or later. He might not be scheduled for a match at WrestleMania, but the chances of him playing a role at the pay-per-view are high. WWE could either let him return at WrestleMania or after the show. Anything beyond this would probably kill his momentum, which would be the last thing WWE wants.

Author’s take

A feud with Triple H will be a perfect storyline for the returning Balor. With such a booking, he would be injected right back into the main event scene. To make matters more interesting, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are still on the Monday Night Raw roster, in case WWE wants to pull off a reunion of the Bullet Club.
