He expressed the sentiment that even when things aren’t necessarily going someone’s way, the fact that they are getting paid to perform before people should be a motivator.

I’m not a wrestler so I cannot comment on the motivations of wrestlers. I do, however, play music and I’ve noticed that fame-hungry bands often fizzle out when the spotlight is off them.
