Kari Sane, the winner of the Mae Young Classic, was the first to be added to the match. Ember Moon and Nikki Cross, the two women who came closest to unseating Asuka during her reign, were also added, along with the Iconic Peyton Royce. After almost ten minutes of vicious attacks and high impact arsenals from all four contenders, Ember Moon took out both Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross with a double Eclipse, pinning Cross before the MYC winner Kari Sane could make the save.
Ember has been chasing the championship since she debuted in NXT last year. After chasing Asuka throughout Wrestlemania season, an injury would take her out of contention. After her recovery, the returning Moon would fall to Asuka after nearly ending her undefeated streak. In little over a year, Ember Moon finally captured the NXT Women’s Championship and even had former champion Asuka in the ring to celebrate her victory.
