In case you didn’t know…

During his stint with the WWE, CM Punk had a brief on-screen relationship with Paul Heyman, who seemingly became the on-screen manager for Punk during his tenure as WWE Champion.

However, after a short run-up together as a pair, Punk and Heyman eventually parted ways on TV, when the latter betrayed ‘The Second City Saint’ at the 2013 Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

The heart of the matter

During his exclusive interview with Paste Magazine, Paul Heyman spoke about a host of wrestling related topics and below are the highlights from the interview: (H/T: WrestlingInc)

Paul Heyman claimed that he currently isn’t sure what the make-up of the audience in New Orleans is going to be like at WrestleMania. But, he does have a feeling that there’s going to be a lot of different styles represented by its fanbase, all converging at the same time.

According to Heyman, he believes that his opinion regarding this matter doesn’t really matter, and what matters the most is what Phil Brooks (CM Punk), thinks regarding this whole situation of him being worthy enough of main eventing WWE’s flagship event, that is, WrestleMania.

What’s next?

Paul Heyman will accompany Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans when ‘The Beast Incarnate’ gets set to defend his WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns.

Author’s Take

Personally, I think that CM Punk did deserve a spot in the main event of WrestleMania, especially considering his historic 434-day WWE Title run.
