During the show, Rousey not only shared her experience of shooting for the video game but also provided details regarding her injury and WrestleMania 35 encounter with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Rousey unhesitantly admitted that she needs to work on ‘faking’ the injury from her main event match last month.

In case you didn’t know

Ronda Rousey defended the RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch and the-then Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35, in April. During the match, she suffered an injury on her right hand but finished the match nonetheless.

In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel later that month, Rousey stated that she had injured her pinky knuckle, which resulted in two pins in her right hand.

Heart of the matter

In the show, Rousey stated that she wanted to dress up as Sonya Blade, the character she had voiced for the video game Mortal Kombat 11. The hand injury, however, forced her to change the plans and that’s why she joked about getting better at ‘faking’ her injury. Rousey said,

Rousey’s injury did not provide any barriers to the first-ever women’s main event match of WrestleMania and the three women went on to deliver an instant classic.

What’s next?

Ever since her loss at the grandest stage of sports entertainment, Ronda Rousey has been on a hiatus from WWE. Apart from the injury factor, it is believed that she will be taking some time off to be with her family and fulfil her desire of becoming a mother.
